Founded in 1994, Camden People’s Theatre is dedicated to artists and audiences taking risks, making exciting choices and pursuing excellence. They produce, promote, support, mentor and provide resources for new, emerging and established performance companies and solo artists who work in ways that extend the boundaries of theatre and performance. Each Spring, since 1997, CPT has presented Sprint, a Festival of contemporary theatre. Sprint continues to provide a showcase platform of major importance for emerging theatre practitioners.

CPT’s facilities include a studio theatre ideally suited to work on the small-scale, a gallery space in the foyer, a licensed bar/cafe, and inexpensive rehearsal rooms. Our programme runs year-round, and each spring we present the Sprint Festival, a month-long extravaganza of unusual and unexpected theatre.
